Meet the Founder

I'm an organisational psychologist and the founder of The Mind Partnership. Before founding The Mind Partnership, I spent nearly 20 years in Finance, primarily in London, across private equity, investment banking and wealth management, latterly establishing and exiting the business.

My own experience of corporate life is central to the way I work with clients. I know well the pace and pressure of demanding professional environments, and I understand the demands that many professionals and leaders experience: the pace, responsibility, uncertainty and constant balancing of performance, relationships and personal wellbeing.

I know how easy it can be to appear successful on the outside whilst quietly struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, self-doubt or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. This is very much relevant to, but hidden in, leaders and that causes feelings of isolation and alienation.

At the heart of my work is offering a warm, thoughtful and confidential space that is both professional and genuinely compassionate. A place where clients can feel safe to explore what is going on beneath the surface, while also helping them move towards meaningful and sustainable change.

My training includes researching leadership and psychology at Bristol and UCL and I am about to build on these with a Doctorate in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour.

My professional training includes a Diploma in Transformational Coaching (I hold EMCC Senior Practitioner designation) and a range of psychotherapy modalities, including narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, compassion focussed therapy and transactional analysis. I draw on these perspectives when they offer a useful way to understand a particular challenge, deepen a conversation or support deep, lasting change.

I work both online in person, in the UK and globally, and I am highly mindful of confidentiality and discretion, which many clients particularly value.

Outside of my professional work, I am mother to three young children and enjoy music, museums and art, dance, travel, the countryside, wellness and reading whenever I can squeeze it in. Much of my free time is spent with my family and our Australian Labradoodle. My other role in life, which I hold without title nor compensation, is driver to our children.

I am a Trustee on the Board of Wellspring Scotland, a mental health and counselling charity, and a Mentor with MCR Pathways, a charity supporting care-experienced young people.

Why Me?

When I started out as a financial planner, like many others I attended the same training every year on technical subjects. I quickly realised that, whilst that’s of course very important, most of the challenges that my clients were bringing to my meeting were related to their feelings and behaviours. So I decided that year to delve into the psychology of money to upskill in knowledge and techniques that would allow me to better help them move forward in their relationship with money.

I’ve been studying this for years now and I want to help others learn this too, so they can embed into their own client work. My professional clients report being able to establish deeper and more meaningful relationships with their own clients, getting better results for them, stronger relationships and attracting more referrals from impressed clients.

Ways To Work with Me

Leadership Development Programmes

Strong leadership development programme begins with a conversation about what leadership needs to look like in your organisation and where the greatest opportunities or development lie.

We design a bespoke learning journey around your goals, culture, values and current challenges. These may be structured to meet the intended impact and may include facilitated workshops, group learning, action learning, reflexive exercises and individual coaching, and can be delivered online or in person. Participants work with real situations from their roles, practice new approaches between sessions and reflect on how outcomes changed. This process helps participants to build confidence in deploying new approaches and cements the changes so that they hold up in everyday working life.

Whether you are preparing emerging leaders for their first roles, supporting experienced leaders through change or strengthening the effectiveness of a senior team.

Our programmes combine practical, evidence-based leadership skills with space for deeper reflection. Participants explore aspects of their leadership, for example and depending on the desired curriculum, how they communicate, make decisions, build relationships and respond under pressure.

Drawing on organisational psychology, coaching and psychodynamic perspectives, we help leaders to notice patterns that can be hard to see in the pace of everyday work, then translate those insights into different ways of leading.

We work with corporates, professional services firms, start ups as well as public sector organisations in the UK and internationally.

The aim is for leaders to leave with a clearer understanding of their impact, stronger relationships and changes they can immediately take to their teams and put into practice in their work.

Executive and Leadership Coaching

We work with organisations, often through HR, to support aspiring or established leaders with one to one or group coaching. Often they are seeking to enhance the leader's effectiveness, confidence and impact, or to address a specific personal development goal.

We also work privately with ambitious professionals who want coaching to explore a particular workplace concern, prepare for promotion, transitioning into a new leadership roles or invest in their growth in their own terms.

Our clients range from emerging leaders seeking their first leadership role, to experienced leaders looking to reach the C suite, and senior executives.

Whichever route they take to come to us, we support leaders through a series of tailored coaching conversations, helping them to navigate organisational change, strengthen self-awareness, improve stakeholder relationships, develop leadership capability, and find new perspectives on complex workplace challenges.

For private coaching clients, what we cover is highly dependent on what the client wishes to explore. It is their session after all! We can bring several suggestions to the table in terms of the what and the how of the sessions, and the client can choose. Sometimes clients have a clear idea of the agenda, other times clients are looking to us as the expert to assist in how to proceed.

Depending on where the professional is in their career development, there are various common topics that can be included to suit the client's journey to date and their destination.

As part of the coaching process, we may use feedback from 360 degree reviews, performance reviews, ad-hoc feedback received from peers and managers, personality tests among other details.

Coaching is highly personal, and finding the right person to work with matters. We are always happy to offer an initial 30-minute conversation so we can meet, discuss what you're looking for and see whether working together feels right.
